Day Trips
 

To sign up office hours: Monday through Thursday from 8:45 a.m. to 7 p.m and Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.

XÀTIVA    SATURDAY,JANUARY 21, 2012
We'll visit the town with its artistic and historical content. Xàtiva was settled during Iberian times, although its heyday was during the Middle Ages. The city is also renowned for being the birthplace of the Borgia popes (Calixtus III and Alexander VI)), and painter José de Ribera, "El Españoleto". We'll take in the castle, dating from Iberian times up to the 19thC.

We'll be back in Valencia about 6:00 p.m.

No charge for this trip except for personal expenses.

Have your family pack you a lunch. Wear comfortable shoes for hiking!

We’ll meet at 10:30 a.m. at Avenida de Aragón, Mestalla (Soccer stadium).

SKI DAYTRIP    FEBRUARY 10, 2012
Join us in a day on the slopes!

We’re going to to get in some skiing at the Javalambre ski resort in the Gúdar mountains in the province of Teruel, just an hour and a half from Valencia. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, there’ll be slopes for you.

Price includes:
-Roundtrip transportation by chartered bus.
-Lift ticket for the day.
-Equipment rental.
-Accident insurance.

Minimum 25, maximum 50 people.

Price with rentals for downhill skiing (skis, boots & poles): 55 €
Price with rentals for snowboard (board & boots): 55 €
Price without rentals (Lift ticket+transport): 45 €

Private ski lessons are also available at an additional cost.

MORELLA    MARCH 24, 2012
We´ll visit the town of Morella and its castle . In the afternoon we´ll have free time to stroll through the streets and buy typical products and handicrafts from the area.

We’ll be back in Valencia about 8-9 p.m.

If you’re interested in going, sign up before 7:00 pm Monday, March 5;

YOU MUST SIGN UP TO BE ABLE TO GO, BUT YOU DON´T HAVE TO DO SO PERSONALLY, A FRIEND CAN SIGN UP FOR YOU.

We’ll meet at 9:30 a.m. on Avenida de Aragon, at the Estadio de fútbol Mestalla.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
No student can stay on in Morella. If you travel with us, you must return on Program buses. This rule is irrevocable.
Take your lunch along with you.

PEÑÍSCOLA    SEPTEMBER 3, 2011
We'll visit Peñíscola which is an historical walled-in-city, built on a rock that juts out into the sea. We’ll spend the day at the beach where we’ll eat lunch, then we’ll visit the castle which once belonged to the religious order of the Templar Knights. This castle was the Holy See of "Papa Luna" (Benedicto XIII, the anti-Pope of his time) during the Western Schism.
We will be back in the city between 7:30 – 8 p.m.

No charge for this trip except for personal expenses.

Have your family pack you a lunch. Take your beach gear!
