PhD in Hispanic philology from the Universitat de València. He is currently associate professor at the Universitat de València. He was a visiting professor at Earlham College(USA), and associate professor at Universidad Cardenal Herrera-CEU in Valencia. He has done extended research at Universidad de Buenos Aires and at Universidad Simón Bolívar, Caracas. As a researcher of 19th and 20th century Argentine literature, he is the author of La construcción de un imaginario nacional and Gauchos en el mundo del 80, as well as being one of the collaborators of Literatura e imaginarios sociales.
