PhD in contemporary history and doctoral candidate in sociology and social anthropology, from the Universitat de València. He has been a professor in the UVA Hispanic Studies Program since 2003, and Academic Director since 2006. He is also a professor at the Universidad Católica de Valencia “San Vicente Mártir”, and associate professor in the Department of Economic Analysis in the Universitat de València. He held a professorship of graduate studies in the Spanish School at Middlebury College (USA). He has done extended research at the University of Virginia (Charlottesville), and at the Pontifícia Universidad Católica in Santiago, Chile. He is the author of diverse articles in Spain and Latin America on the relationship between literature and history, especially on the novel as a source of historical research.
